NEWS

Mathew 16:18 "And I tell you, you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it."

As you know, last month we were able to contact the water department so they could help with the village's water problems. They have only had a water system for a few years. The government put in the system and showed them how to maintain it.

The maintenance is the village's responsibility. but hey do not fully understand the importance of the maintenance involved. So, we will start aiding them in keeping their water system maintained.

Last month, three ladies (Lore, Zeida and Ireliana) made a decision to follow Christ. What is amazing is that two of the ladies had previously wronged someone in the community and they realized they needed to ask for forgiveness. Wow, that is the work of the Holy Spirit and we are grateful that God has allowed us to see Him working.

Ministering together with the believers is always great, but it is also important just to do life with them.  We look for opportunities to hang out with them whether its playing volleyball, soccer or just drinking coffee at night (with mosquitoes) and talking.

Thank you for your prayers and support, we appreciate it!

"Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path."
Psalm 119:105

We are now able to take trips to the villages in the jungles! We were able to visit the village of Diwarsikwa. We have not been there in a long time. We prayed for the pastor and did a prayer walk around the village.

In the coming months, we will be visiting other villages around the area. We will bring some of the church leaders from Puerto Gavilana with us. They will be able to visit the villages when we are not there.

Thank you again for your prayers, here are some pictures from the month of February.

Puerto Gavilana

This is the water system in Puerto Gavilana. We were able to help them contact the government to check some issues with their system. The Government came and tested the water. They will go back with the test results and to train Puerto Gavilana on how to maintain and clean the system.

Each trip we take, we feed the kids. We are seeing more and more kids every time we go. In one house, there were more than 10 babies! One of our goals is to reach the new generation. May God give us wisdom as we teach the children.

DIWARSIKWA

For many years, traveling to Diwarsikwa would take between six to eight hours in a canoe. Now, from Puerto Gavilana, it only takes about two hours. It was good to go with my son. My daughter has been there many times but Misael was never able to go. We had a great time and I was able to share what God has done over the years while remembering Pastor Roosevelt and Ines.

"I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.”

John 8:12

My citizenship

I thank God for all the people that helped me through the process to get my citizenship. Nancy Falgout, my immigration lawyer was a blessing through the entire process. I thank God for Sam Parker, his wife and daughter. Thank you everyone for praying. However, my first and most important citizenship is in the kingdom of God.

Last month, I did two funerals. It has not been easy, but it has given me the opportunity to share the gospel and give people hope through what Jesus did. I think I have done more funerals this last year than sermons. I am glad God is using me through this difficult time for so many.

After one of the funerals, I had the opportunity to visit my mom's burial site with some of my nieces and a nephew.

We are still searching for a Mission House, a place where we can lodge volunteers and train future leaders to preach the gospel. We have found a house that we can see God using for his ministry. Pray that God will give us wisdom to raise funds and patience to wait on His time.

Thank you everyone for praying for our trip on Tuesday. We arrived early so we were able to visit homes while we waited for the government to come and check the water system.

When the government workers came we had a meeting and then they got to work. They checked the whole system and took samples of the water. The Kuna chief in

charge appreciated us being there.

We will find out the results of the water test next week. The government will go back to do a training on how to maintain the system and we are planning to be there too. This visit helped us to inform the community of the importance of boiling the water as they wait for the test results.

Keep praying for the children. We would like to take doctors and nurses with us but the chiefs have to allow them to come first.
